Pulse are working with one of the UK's leading providers of Education and Residential services for children and young people with mental health and behavioural issues, as well as neurodevelopmental disorders, to find them a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist for a permanent role.
The Psychologist will be working within a school for children with both neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as mental health issues. The post holder will be working closely with service users, offering evidence based individual therapy and group therapy where appropriate. The Psychologist in post will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team, advising in best practice for psychological care. Professions within the MDT include: Psychotherapists; Speech and Language Therapists; Occupational Therapists and Assistant Psychologists. The post holder will also work closely with the families of the children within the school.
This post is available to Newly Qualified Psychologists through to Consultant level. The role is available on a full time basis to candidates looking for band 7/8a roles, and part time to candidates looking for 8b/8c roles. Candidates will ideally have experience working within a CAMHS service and a Child and Adolescent neurodevelopmental service, however this is not an essential requirement. Candidates with any experience working with children and adolescents will be considered.
