How much does a radiographer earn?

Newly qualified radiographers’ salaries typically start around £21,600 – £28,100 per year when you graduate. However, a radiography job is a healthcare profession that offers great progression – meaning that an experienced radiographer at the highest level of clinical practice for radiography can earn up to £68,000.

The full salary bands for full time and locum radiographers are:

  • Band 4: £14 – £18 per hour umbrella
  • Band 5: £19 – £24 per hour umbrella
  • Band 6: £24 – £28 per hour umbrella
  • Band 7: £28 – £34 per hour umbrella
