Dietetics jobs FAQs

How do I find dietitian jobs in the UK with Pulse?

As one of the leading healthcare providers in the UK, we operate in all towns and cities. We work with a range of clients across the UK including private sector organisations, and the NHS. Wherever you are located, we can help you find a dietitian job in the UK. If there are no current vacancies in the area you are looking, you can register with us and sign up for alerts whenever a job is posted in your area. You’ll then have a chance to be one of the first to apply.

Why choose Pulse to find my next dietitian job?

Pulse puts relationships first. Both client and candidate. This has led to us developing great client relationships which we can utilise for your benefit. Firstly, we have been chosen by many clients as their only temporary job recruiter, meaning we can offer you exclusive dietitian jobs. Also, we’re able to utilise the relationships to negotiate excellent pay rates for you.

What areas are Pulse recruiting for dietitians in?

Searching for your next job in dietetics? We’re one of the UK’s leading dietitian recruitment experts. Our knowledgeable recruitment consultants source a wide range of permanent and locum dietitian jobs. These are both within the NHS and private sector, so you can wave goodbye to long winded, unsuccessful job searching across multiple websites.

Our recruitment consultants specialise in finding the best candidates for dietitian jobs, including dietetic assistants, community, mental health, diabetes, acute, enteral feeding, paediatrics, HIV and neonatal positions. We offer roles in the NHS, NHS foundation trust or private sector on both a permanent and locum basis.

How much does a dietitian earn?

As a locum worker, your rate of pay will be discussed between you and your consultant at the point of finding you a great opportunity. There are a number of factors involved in negotiating your overall pay, including experience, specialist expertise, location and setting. London living costs are also taken into consideration and uplifts are applied where relevant.

Should you be looking for a permanent placement, your annual salary offer and remuneration package will be discussed between you and your consultant at Pulse during your application.

NHS Employers provides information around NHS Terms and Conditions of Service, pay and allowances from 1 April 2020. Please see the agenda for change pay scales for a full breakdown.

What are the benefits of working as a locum dietitian with Pulse?

The importance of dietetics means that there’s always high demand for locum dietitians within the healthcare system. Whether you choose to be a nutrition and dietetic specialist in the private sector or in the NHS, as a locum dietitian, you have access to certain benefits that you wouldn’t have in a full-time role.

Locum dietitian roles are ideal for those looking for a flexible lifestyle. Working as a temporary healthcare professional allows you to control your own hours – you can choose when you work and how long for. Equally locum professionals get paid weekly giving you more control and visibility over their finances.
