Our NHS client based in Middlesex is now seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist who specialises in Pain Management, for a locum position available to start as soon as possible. The candidate appointed will need to be able to work 4-days per week, for an initial 9-month period.
The roles in this supportive and friendly clinical health psychology team include providing outpatient psychological assessment and therapy with people with chronic neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions and contributing towards individual and group-based psycho-educational sessions which form part of their inpatient pain management programmes.
Experience working within a physical health setting would be desirable but not essential, in addition to regular managerial and clinical supervision they hold monthly peer supervision to support joint working and the sharing of knowledge and expertise. Our client works closely with colleagues in the wider MDT, often holding joint sessions with patients, and facilitate monthly reflective practice sessions for the MDT.
