Permanent, full time – Monday – Friday , 9am – 4:30pm
Birmingham
Band 6, £37,052 – £44,761 per annum, pro rata, dependent on experience

Pulse is working in partnership with the UK’s leading mental health charity for veterans based in Birmingham. This charity provides specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues related to their military service. The organisation provides services in-person, and via phone and online.
The Role – Substance Misuse Nurse – Birmingham
- The Substance Misuse Nurse role will include managing a complex case load of veterans with co-existing mental health, physical health, and drug and alcohol problems
- To work in partnership with the Interdisciplinary team, attending multi-agency reviews, completing full clinical assessments for veterans on various treatment pathways who require support around their drug and alcohol use
- As a specialist Nurse, this will also include completing structured mental health and substance misuse interventions to assist and promote recovery
Leading and supporting other members of the interdisciplinary team, as the Substance Misuse Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing interventions to veterans. The post holder will work in a small team, carrying a case load of more complex patients, who have co-existing conditions.
Monday – Friday, regular working hours on a permanent, full time basis .
