How much does a phlebotomist earn?

A phlebotomist’s salary usually varies between £15,100 to £17,800 a year, based on an average of 37.5 hours a week. Your job role at this level will include taking blood samples, maintaining health and safety standards and helping patients keep relaxed. 

The full salary bands for a phlebotomist are:

  • Band 2: £10.50-£13.50 per hour umbrella
  • Band 3: £12.00-£15.50 per hour umbrella
