Job Description: We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Specialty Doctor in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry with expertise in CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) to join our esteemed team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, and provide comprehensive psychiatric care to children and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans for children and adolescents with mental health disorders.
  • Provide evidence-based psychiatric interventions and medication management tailored to the needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate closely with CAMHS teams, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and therapists, to ensure coordinated and holistic care delivery.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case conferences, and clinical reviews to review progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and carers on mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing symptoms.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Completion of specialty training in psychiatry and relevant experience in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Specialty Doctor level experience in CAMHS is essential.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
