Job Opportunity:

Pulse, a leading healthcare recruitment agency, is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialty Doctor specializing in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Psychiatry for a reputable outpatient healthcare facility in Kent. 

This position will be 2 days per week – Monday to Friday. 

Start date: 13th May

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality psychiatric care to children and adolescents.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Clinical Expertise:

    • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for children and adolescents.
    • Formulate and implement effective treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
    • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions and medication management.
  2. Team Collaboration:

    • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and contribute to the development of care plans.
  3. Patient Advocacy:

    • Advocate for the needs and rights of children and adolescents receiving mental health services.
    • Collaborate with families and caregivers to involve them in the treatment process.
  4. Documentation and Record-keeping:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Ensure timely and thorough documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  5. Continuous Professional Development:

    • Stay abreast of the latest developments in CAMHS Psychiatry through ongoing professional development.
    • Contribute to the training and education of junior staff members and students.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  2. Section 12 Approval
  3. At least 6 months CAMHS Experience
  4. MRCPsych or equivalent qualification in Psychiatry.
  5. Specialization and experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
