Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Consultant in Gastroenterology to join our dynamic team in North Yorkshire, on a full time permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care and shape the future of our Gastroenterology services.

As a member of our team, your core responsibility will be to provide expert clinical care in Gastroenterology, covering the breadth of diagnosis, treatment, and management of gastrointestinal disorders. You’ll actively contribute to the development and implementation of Gastroenterology care pathways and protocols, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and experiences. Sharing your expertise, you’ll participate in teaching and training activities for junior doctors, medical students, and other healthcare professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Furthermore, you’ll be actively engaged in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing Gastroenterology care outcomes, driving innovation and excellence in our approach to patient care.

In addition to the primary responsibilities, candidates for these roles must also undertake scoping procedures and possess a minimum of six months of UK experience.

Requirements:

  • Current GMC full registration and license to practice.
  • MRCP qualification.
  • Entry on the GMC specialist register for Gastroenterology, or within twelve months of CCT date or expected CESR approval, if not wishing to contribute to the GIM on call rota.
