Job Description:

Pulse Recruitment Agency is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant Psychiatrist specializing in General Adult Psychiatry for an exciting opportunity in a reputable inpatient setting in London. This role provides a unique chance to contribute to the well-being of individuals in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Clinical Expertise:

    • Provide high-quality psychiatric care to adult patients in an inpatient setting.
    • Conduct thorough assessments, diagnosis, and formulate treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
    • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and holistic patient care.
  2. Treatment Planning and Implementation:

    • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
    • Prescribe appropriate medications and monitor their effectiveness.
    • Conduct therapy sessions and facilitate therapeutic interventions.
  3. Patient Advocacy:

    • Advocate for the rights and needs of patients, ensuring their voices are heard in the treatment process.
    • Work towards destigmatizing mental health issues and promoting a patient-centered approach.
  4. Team Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with nurses, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care.
    • Participate in regular case conferences, team meetings, and contribute to clinical discussions.
  5. Professional Development:

    • Stay abreast of the latest developments in psychiatry and mental health.
    • Engage in continuous professional development and training activities.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree and valid GMC registration.
  • AC Approval
  • Completion of specialist training in psychiatry.
  • CCT or equivalent certification in General Adult Psychiatry.
  • Substantial experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist in an inpatient setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
