Job Description:

Pulse Recruitment Agency is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist with experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) for a fantastic opportunity in Essex. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be an integral part of the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) focused on CAMHS.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Clinical Expertise: Provide high-quality psychiatric care to children and adolescents within the CAMHS framework.
  2. Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose mental health conditions, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  3. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  4. Consultation: Provide expert psychiatric consultation to colleagues, referring agencies, and other stakeholders.
  5. Treatment Planning: Formulate and implement comprehensive care plans, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based interventions.
  6. Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans in collaboration with the team.
  7. Supervision: Provide supervision and support to junior medical staff and contribute to the continuous professional development of the team.

Requirements:

  1. Medical Qualification: MBBS or equivalent, with full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  2. Psychiatric Qualification: CCT or equivalent in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  3. Registration: Full and unrestricted registration with the GMC and inclusion on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  4. Experience: Significant post-registration experience in CAMHS and CMHT settings.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
