Position Overview: Pulse is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join a dynamic team in Caernarfonshire. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing expert psychiatric care, particularly in the areas of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Clinical Expertise: Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evidence-based treatment to children, adolescents, and adults within the CAMHS and CMHT settings.
  2. Collaborative Care: Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans, ensuring the highest quality of patient care.
  3. Leadership: Provide clinical leadership and guidance to junior medical staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
  4. Service Development: Contribute to the development and improvement of psychiatric services, staying abreast of the latest research and best practices.
  5. Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with relevant clinical standards and regulatory requirements, participating in audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  2. Section 12 approved
  3. Completion of specialist training in Psychiatry.
  4. CCT or equivalent in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  5. Proven experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist, with expertise in CAMHS and CMHT.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Full driving license and willingness to travel within the region.
