Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry to play a key role in our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert psychiatric care for older adults, contributing to the development and implementation of high-quality mental health services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and formulate accurate diagnoses for older adults experiencing mental health challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and ensuring a holistic approach to care.
- Provide leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care.
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of mental health programs and services for the older adult population.
- Offer consultation and support to family members, caregivers, and other stakeholders involved in the care of older adults.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Medical degree with specialization in Psychiatry and current registration with the relevant professional body.
- Consultant-level experience in Old Age Psychiatry, demonstrating a strong track record in the field.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and deliver high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric care to older adults.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about the latest advancements in Old Age Psychiatry.
