Pulse Psychiatry is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant Psychiatrist with expertise in Adult Psychiatry for a part-time position based in Romford, Essex in an NHS inpatient setting. Responsibilities:

  1. Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:

    • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments of adult patients.
    • Provide accurate diagnoses based on thorough evaluations.
    • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
  2. Treatment Planning and Implementation:

    • Design and oversee individualized treatment plans for patients.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
    • Monitor and adjust treatment strategies as needed.
  3. Patient Care and Support:

    • Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to adult patients.
    • Offer counseling and support to individuals and their families.
    • Participate in crisis intervention and management when necessary.
  4. Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses.
    • Maintain clear and effective communication with colleagues, patients, and their families.
    • Attend and contribute to clinical meetings and case reviews.
  5. Documentation and Record Keeping:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
  6. Professional Development:

    • Stay abreast of advancements in psychiatry and relevant therapeutic interventions.
    • Engage in continuous professional development and training.

Requirements:

  1. Medical Qualification: MBBS or equivalent.
  2. Psychiatric Qualification: CCT in Adult Psychiatry or equivalent.
  3. License: Full GMC registration and license to practice.
  4. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in Adult Psychiatry.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  7. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments and patient needs.
