Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist with expertise in adult psychiatry to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality mental health services in the Middlesex region. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will contribute to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adult patients, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and patient-centered care.

This will be in a CMHT setting.

From 7th March – 19th April (will then review)

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments of adult patients.
  2. Provide evidence-based treatment and interventions for a range of mental health disorders.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to deliver integrated care.
  4. Participate in clinical reviews and case conferences to ensure the effectiveness of treatment plans.
  5. Monitor and evaluate the progress of patients, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  6. Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health programs and initiatives.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.

Requirements:

  1. Medical degree and completion of specialist training in psychiatry.
  2. Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a license to practice.
  3. Substantial experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist with a focus on adult psychiatry.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  6. Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement.
  7. Eligibility for membership with relevant professional bodies.
