Job Title: Band 8b Clinical Psychologist – Adult Mental Health Specialist

Position Overview: We are looking for a dynamic Band 8b Clinical Psychologist with specialized experience in Adult Mental Health to play a key role in our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advanced psychological assessments, evidence-based interventions, and therapeutic support for individuals experiencing a range of mental health issues in the adult population.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and formulate accurate diagnoses for individuals within the Adult Mental Health spectrum.
  2. Develop and implement individualized and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address a variety of mental health concerns.
  3. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure holistic care for individuals with complex mental health needs.
  4. Provide consultation and guidance to junior mental health professionals and contribute to the ongoing professional development of the team.
  5. Keep abreast of the latest developments in clinical psychology and Adult Mental Health, incorporating best practices into daily clinical work.
  6. Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with relevant professional and regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Doctoral-level qualification in Clinical Psychology and current registration with the relevant professional body.(HCPC) 
  2. Extensive experience as a Band 8b Clinical Psychologist with a focus on Adult Mental Health.
  3. Proven expertise in conducting complex psychological assessments and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  5. Commitment to continuous professional development and a track record of staying informed about the latest research and advancements in Adult Mental Health.
