  • Location: Great Ormond Street Hospital
  • Specialty: Children’s Cardiac Critical Care (CICU)
  • Hours: 37.5 hours / mixed shift pattern (17 week rota)

  • Salary: Between £61,142 – £68,819 per annum inclusive (depending on experience)

Pulse is working in partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) to recruit an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join their CICU team on a permanent basis.

We want to hear from ACP’s who can show proven skills in resilience and emotional intelligence with the ability to support yourself & your team through new challenges. Applicants who show a focus to develop their own evidence, in designated nonclinical time, for children, young people and families best clinical care.

GOSH has a well-established friendly team of ACPs as part of a wider multiprofessional team across their children’s cardiac intensive care their clinical care pathways for children, young people, & their families with congenital & acquired heart disease. 

This is a band 8a role, but we are also keen to hear from band 6+ applicants who meet the below requirements.

Requirements for this role

  • Completed your masters level qualification
  • Registered as a non-medical prescriber
  • Demonstrated & achieved the skills associated with critical care provision
  • Provided evidence of your case management of a group of patients within critical care
  • Evidence of an e-portfolio illustrating your learning continuum (RCPCH 2020, HEE 2020)
  • Have a professional 5-year development plan (HEE 2020)
  • The ability to develop your skills as part of the medical rota including nights and weekends as part of an established CICU workforce
  • You will have a named dedicated Consultant & Advanced Clinical Practitioner supervisor to support your own skills & educational needs across the 4 pillars of ACP, (HEE 2019)
