About Us: Pulse, a leading healthcare recruitment agency, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Band 8A Advanced Care Practitioner to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team in Hereford. This temporary position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being of children and adolescents in the region.
Position Overview: As a Band 8A Advanced Care Practitioner, you will be a crucial member of the CAMHS team, providing advanced clinical expertise and leadership in the delivery of mental health services for children and adolescents. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. This role is for a 10 month duration – ongoing maternity cover with the start date being ASAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and adolescents with mental health needs.
- Develop and implement evidence-based care plans tailored to individual patient requirements.
- Provide advanced therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, family therapy, and other modalities.
- Offer consultation, guidance, and support to junior staff members within the CAMHS team.
- Collaborate with external agencies, families, and carers to enhance the overall care provided.
- Actively contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in compliance with relevant guidelines.
Requirements:
- Valid registration with a relevant healthcare professional body (e.g., NMC, HCPC).
- Extensive experience working within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
- Proven expertise in delivering advanced therapeutic interventions.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
