About the Role: Pulse, a leading recruitment agency, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 8A Psychologist to join a dynamic team working with adults in Essex. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality psychological services to individuals, contributing to the overall well-being and mental health support in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Clinical Assessments: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for adults, utilizing a variety of assessment tools and techniques.
  2. Therapeutic Interventions: Plan and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the individual needs of clients.
  3. Consultation and Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, providing consultation on psychological matters and contributing to care planning and decision-making processes.
  4. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  5. Supervision and Training: Provide supervision to junior staff, trainees, and other professionals as required, contributing to the development of the team’s skills and knowledge.
  6. Research and Evaluation: Engage in research activities and contribute to the evaluation of psychological services, promoting continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  1. Qualifications: Hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  2. Experience: Substantial experience working as a Psychologist in adult mental health settings, demonstrating proficiency in conducting assessments and delivering therapeutic interventions.
  3. Knowledge: Stay abreast of developments in the field of clinical psychology, demonstrating a commitment to continued professional development.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  5. Teamwork: Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, fostering a positive and supportive working environment.
