We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Band 7 Community Psychiatric Nurse to join a dynamic CAMHS team in Essex. This role is for a 3 month duration.

Position Overview: As a Band 7 Community Psychiatric Nurse within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), you will play a crucial role in providing expert psychiatric nursing care to children and adolescents with mental health conditions. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the assessment, planning, and delivery of high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of mental health needs for children and adolescents.
  2. Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of service users.
  3. Provide therapeutic interventions and support to clients and their families.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  5. Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based practice within the CAMHS setting.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with professional and service standards.
  7. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and clinical supervision sessions.

Requirements:

  1. Registered Nurse with NMC registration.
  2. Extensive experience working in a CAMHS setting at Band 7 level.
  3. Strong assessment and care planning skills.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  6. Commitment to continuous professional development.
