Job Overview: Pulse is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Band 7 CAMHS Practitioner to join a dynamic team in Bedford. As a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, and delivering high-quality mental health care to children and young people. This is a temporary/contract position, offering an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people’s mental health needs.
  2. Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual requirements.
  3. Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address a range of mental health issues.
  4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure holistic care.
  5. Offer support and guidance to families and carers, fostering a collaborative approach to treatment.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
  7. Stay informed about developments in the field of CAMHS and participate in continuous professional development.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified as a mental health professional with registration in relevant professional body (e.g., HCPC, NMC).
  2. Substantial experience working within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
  3. Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions and treatment modalities.
  4. Strong assessment and care planning skills.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  7. Commitment to maintaining high standards of professional practice.
