Position Overview: As a Band 7 Adult Inpatient Psychologist, you will be an integral part of the mental health team, providing specialized psychological services within an inpatient setting. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the well-being of adult patients and collaborate with a dedicated team in Brighton.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Clinical Assessments: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for adult patients within the inpatient setting, utilizing a range of assessment tools and techniques.

  2. Treatment Planning: Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, tailored to the specific needs of adult patients, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

  3. Therapeutic Interventions: Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, applying a variety of therapeutic modalities to address a range of mental health issues.

  4. Risk Assessment: Perform risk assessments and develop risk management plans, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and staff.

  5. Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Team: Work closely with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and holistic care.

  6. Supervision and Training: Provide supervision to junior staff and contribute to the training and professional development of the team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Qualified and registered Psychologist with HCPC registration.
  2. Substantial experience working as a Psychologist in an adult inpatient mental health setting.
  3. Demonstrated expertise in conducting psychological assessments, formulation, and treatment planning.
  4. Proficient in delivering a range of therapeutic interventions.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
