Pulse are currently looking for an HCPC-registered Band 7/8a/8b Clinical Psychologist to join our fantastic NHS older adults support team in London. This vacancy is available to start as soon as possible, on a part-time basis, for a period of 3 months. As this is a band 7/8a position, our client will also welcome Newly Qualified Psychologists as well as experienced candidates.
Our client is looking for a highly specialist Clinical Psychologist to conduct detailed assessment and formulation, therapeutic intervention, and neuropsychological assessments, covering both mental health and organic problems, such as dementia. The post holder will be responsible, as a member of the cognitive impairment and dementia service, for the provision of complete and comprehensive specialist psychology services to culturally diverse individuals being assessed for and diagnosed with dementia and their careers and contribute fully to the MDT.
To be considered for this role, the psychologist must:
· Have HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist
· Hold a doctorate-level qualification in Psychology (Clinical)
· Have experience working with older adults
· Be a great listener with strong communication skills
· Be empathetic, observant and independent.
