Position Overview: We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our team in London. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive occupational therapy services to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team while advancing your career in mental health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting assessments to evaluate clients’ functional abilities and needs.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to address clients’ goals and objectives.
  • Providing therapeutic interventions to enhance clients’ independence and engagement in meaningful activities.
  • Collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated care delivery.
  • Monitoring clients’ progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Providing education and support to clients and their families/caregivers.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Minimum of two years of post-qualification experience in mental health settings.
  • Strong assessment and therapeutic intervention skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to delivering person-centered care and promoting recovery-oriented practices.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of clients and the organization.
