Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist specializing in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services Eating Disorders (CAMHS ED) at a Band 6 level. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic healthcare environment and make a significant impact on the well-being of individuals in the Epsom area.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with eating disorders within the CAMHS ED service.
  2. Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring the highest standard of care.
  3. Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to patients and their families, fostering a supportive and empathetic environment.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and dietitians, to ensure integrated and holistic care.
  5. Education and Support: Offer education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to actively participate in the recovery process.
  6. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to relevant guidelines and standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
  2. Significant experience working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, with a focus on Eating Disorders.
  3. Band 6 level or equivalent experience.
  4. Proven ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver effective therapeutic interventions.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  7. Commitment to continuous professional development.
