Staff Nurse Band 5  Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Coronary Care Unit (CCU)

Location: Guernsey  

Salary: £30,566 – £39,560 plus a relocation and travel package.  

Role: Full time – Nights/ Weekends / Long days

We have an exciting opportunity looking for driven and ambitious experienced band 5 RGN’s to relocate and work in Guernsey, in one of their biggest hospitals. This is a permanent position to work in ICU/CCU wards with ICU currently having 7 beds and CCU with 3 beds

Please see below details of what the role will enquire:

  • Provide direction by acting as a named assessor facilitating junior staff nurses and learners to complete approved competency programmes.
  • Act as facilitator to qualified and unqualified nursing staff providing them with the opportunity to achieve objectives of learning contracts to attain specific competences.
  • Maintain and develop own skills to promote evidence-based practice.
  • Supervise patients in all aspects of their care giving professional advice and guidance where needed.
  • Recognise own limitations by referring when necessary to other more experienced nurses.
  • Participate in clinical supervision.

What requirements are needed to be successful in the job role?

  • Experience coordinating ward activities, delegating appropriately.
  • Evidence of effective communication skills with reference to Multidisciplinary team working, service users, carers, and managers.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise own workload.
  • Evidence of self and professional development.
  • Professional approach to work with the ability to maintain high professional and personal Standards and patient confidentiality.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Flexible approach to work.  

Furthermore, they offer a full relocation package which includes interview and relocation travel. They offer a subsided accommodation for those travelling to the island alone and an eight-year employment permit for those wishing to bring a partner or family
