Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and deliver therapeutic interventions to individuals with mental health conditions, promoting independence and improving quality of life.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual.
  • Provide support and guidance to clients in developing essential life skills and engaging in meaningful activities to enhance their overall well-being.
  • Utilize evidence-based practice and therapeutic techniques to address cognitive, physical, and emotional challenges, facilitating clients’ participation in daily activities and social interactions.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress notes in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.
  • Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and clinical supervision sessions to ensure effective coordination of care and continuity of services.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Previous experience working in mental health settings, either through placements or employment, is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish therapeutic relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to changing priorities and environments.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and willingness to learn and grow in the field of mental health.
