About the Urgent Care Centre
Whipps Cross Urgent Care Centre is part of Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) which was formed on 1 April 2017 following the merger of North Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (NEP) and South Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (SEPT).
The Urgent Care Centre is a brand new 24 hour acute unit which was part of a major £27,000,0000 investment programme to improve efficiency and patient centred services to those in the East London area.
The Urgent Care Centre is an essential service helping to ease pressure on A&E hospital departments and deliver rapid, appropriate care to patients at their time of need. The means tests that have been put into place will be carried out quicker and decisions made faster, and as a result patients will be discharged or transferred to the correct ward in less time!
The Urgent Care centre is easily accessible with underground and over ground links including train stations such as Walthamstow/Walthamstow Central/St James Street.
There is also easy to access motor vehicle and bicycle parking.
About the Job
Pulse is seeking a dynamic and proactive Paediatric Trained (RNC) Nurse to join the new and enthusiastic team. You will be working in close partnership with the Clinical Lead for pediatrics who is leading this project. You will receive support; training opportunities and clinical supervision to improve and build upon your existing clinical skills enabling you develop your career whilst working in a fast paced and challenging environment.
The role is Monday -Friday with a shift pattern of 12.00pm to 19.30pm for the foreseeable future.

Skills & Experience
To be successful in the job, you will bring:
Nurse-led management of acute undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions includes minor illness, minor ailments and injuries
Enthusiastic and motivated
RNC Qualified with the NMC
Recent primary and urgent care experience with Paediatric patients
Postgraduate level Nurse Prescriber qualification or equivalent is desirable but not necessary
