Oman’s weather

Oman's WeatherWhile the mountain areas receive more plentiful rainfall, some parts of the coast, particularly near the island of Masirah, sometimes receive no rain at all within the course of a year. It's generally hot, with temperatures averaging at around 35°C from May to September, with milder weather in the mountains. During October to April expect temperatures of between 15 and 25°C.

What to wear

Light and loose fitting clothing made of natural fibres are best for the summer months, while a jumper or light jacket is needed in the evenings during winter months. Women should keep themselves covered below the shoulders and above the knees out of respect for the culture and men too should dress conservatively, especially in rural areas.
