Theatre Practitioner (Band 5) – Scrub/ Anaesthetics/ Recovery

Permanent, Full time

Grade: Band 5

Salary: £34,876 – £40,434 BAR £41,544 – £44,981 per annum

Location: Guernsey

Pulse is working with the Channel Islands largest provider of health care. Our client is looking for a Senior Theatre Practitioner to join their operating room team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment of patient care needs, implementing and upholding the established standards of care, and providing professional clinical and technical assistance as a member of the operating room team.

Requirements

  • NMC registered nurse
  • Essential to have relevant anaesthetic qualifications if in anaesthetic role
  • Willingness to pursue diploma-level studies, such as mentoring
  • 1 year + theatre experience is desirable

Roles and responsibilities

  • Coordinate ward activities on regular basis
  • Evaluate, create, execute and assess care programs
  • Supervise nursing staff and delegate effectively
  • Assist with education, training and evaluation of learners and unregistered/junior staff
  • Independently initiate emergency intervention when patient’s situation warrants it
