Pulse Nursing have shift opportunities for Theatre Scrub Nurse with Ophthalmic experience based in the Swansea bay area.
As a Theatre Scrub Nurse, you will be working with a passionate and highly skilled team with a common goal to deliver the highest standard of patient care. You will be in an environment where people take pride in putting their patients helping them live better lives.
We can offer you a range of shifts from block bookings to an ad-hoc basis. Rates of £29.90 – £43.59 p/h are available.
Duties & Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Provide scrub assistance during operative procedures (Cataract, Glaucoma surgeries, Refractive laser procedures)
- Working with the surgeon to provide instruments & materials as required during the operation.
- To have great enthusiasm and capacity for learning and personal development, supporting other members of the team, driving high standards of care, and assisting with mentorship and development of other team members.
- Excellent communication skills with good time management skills and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
- Promoting a patient focused approach to care in collaboration with all relevant healthcare professionals.
- Acting in the circulating role (Clean Scrub, Sterile Scrub, Runner)
- Assemble, check, prepare & coordinate the use of surgical equipment, drugs and consumables during surgery.
For this role as a Theatre Scrub nurse, you will need:
- NMC Registered
- Able to meet our framework compliance requirements, References and Occupational Health and Updated CV
- Has a minimum of 12 months working experience in an NHS setting (in the last 12 months)
- Able to Scrub into all Ophthalmic surgeries
