Description

Our client is currently seeking a compassionate Band 6 Physiotherapist to welcome into their Respiratory/Surgical team at an NHS trust located in London. The successful therapist can start this role as soon as possible, working full-time hours each week for an initial 3-month period. 

Physiotherapist applying should have good experience and knowledge in Respiratory and Surgical. You will need skills in complex OT assessments and intervention and discharge planning to be considered for this role. The post holder will be pivotal in helping patients regain their independence and enhance their quality of life. Your expertise will be instrumental in the comprehensive care and recovery of patients in these specialised units. 

Duties within the role will include:  

  • Respiratory physiotherapy input in ED
  • Respiratory physiotherapy input for all exacerbations of COPD/Asthma within the hospital
  • Respiratory physiotherapy input within the Bronchiectasis and Post Covid clinics.
  • Assisting with the management of acute and long-term NIV users (training provided);
  • Advising on LTOT (training provided).
  • Skills required: competent in the assessment and management of patients requiring respiratory physiotherapy expertise.
     

To be considered for this role, you must:  

  • Hold the relevant degree/qualification within Physiotherapist
  • Have previous experience in a similar role (within a respiratory setting) 
  • Be HCPC registered 
  • Have good communication skills 
  • Be able to build trust and rapport with patients 
  • Be encouraging and build confidence in others
