Staff Nurse – PICU

Location: Central London, UK

Salary: starting from £35,000 – competitive salary (depending on experience)

** For a limited time, we are offering a £10,000 welcome bonus to new PICU Nurses that successfully join the team

Role: Permanent, Full-Time position

Pulse Nursing are looking to recruit an experienced Staff Nurse to join a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the UK’s largest private Children and Women’s healthcare hospital in London!

The remarkable hospital specialises in paediatrics, women’s health and obstetrics (maternity)! The unit you will be working in is a spacious, modern 14 bed spread across 2 floors that consists of a mix of ITU (intensive therapy unit) and HDU (high-dependency unit) beds. You’ll have the exposure to different specialties of cases such as cardiac, neuro, spinal, orthopaedic, general, ENT, gastro and trauma. All staff have the opportunity to 24/7 access to support from the leading consultant paediatric intensivists too!

You would need to be flexible to work long days, nights and weekends based on an internal rotation!

While working within a multidisciplinary team within the PICU unit, you will need to be able to plan, deliver, implement and evaluate high standards of holistic and patient focused care as a staff nurse. You will be working on a 1:1 nurse to patient ratio with extra support available at all times. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills as a PICU nurse and spend time focusing on patients.

Requirements:

  • NMC-registered Children’s Nurse
  • Previous experience within a Paediatric ICU, HDU or NICU environment
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to work closely as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Care, compassion and empathy
