Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialty Doctor in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry to join our team in London. The Specialty Doctor will play a vital role in providing expert psychiatric care to children and adolescents, contributing to the enhancement of mental health services in London, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations of children and adolescents.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and clinical expertise.
  • Provide specialized psychiatric care, including medication management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention, to children and adolescents with diverse mental health needs.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, nurses, social workers, and educators, to coordinate care and ensure holistic support for patients and their families.
  • Lead and participate in case conferences, team meetings, and clinical supervision sessions to review patient progress, discuss treatment strategies, and optimize outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvements and innovations to enhance the quality and effectiveness of psychiatric care for children and adolescents.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligibility for registration.
  • Completion of specialist training in Psychiatry and eligibility for inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register.
  • Extensive experience and expertise in providing psychiatric care to children and adolescents.
  • Strong clinical skills in conducting psychiatric assessments, crisis management, and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of developments in the field of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
