Position Overview: As a Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality psychiatric care to adult patients within a dynamic healthcare environment. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of mental health conditions, ensuring the delivery of personalized and effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations of adult patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with best practices and clinical guidelines.
  • Monitor and review patients’ progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide psychiatric consultations and support to other healthcare professionals within the organization.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient care and treatment strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with community resources and external agencies to coordinate patient care and facilitate transitions between care settings.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Completion of specialty training in Psychiatry and certification as a Specialist Doctor in Adult Psychiatry.
  • Proven experience working in adult mental health services, preferably in a clinical or hospital setting.
  • Strong diagnostic and assessment skills, with the ability to formulate comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning in the field of Psychiatry.
  • Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
