Senior Staff Nurse

Salary: Competitive depending on experience (£33,000-£40,000)

Location: Staffordshire / Uttoxeter

Shift Pattern: Shift Patterns. Permanent position. 37.5 hours per week.

Pulse has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Staff Nurse, to work in a brand-new site in Uttoxeter. Our client is a pioneering, cutting edge healthcare provider – changing the approach to mental health services for children and adolescents. Aiming to transform children’s mental health service and address the challenges of the current Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). The successful candidate will be leading the delivery of quality mental health nursing care.

The main site is a Tier 4 CAMHS service; made up of a GAU (General Adolescent Unit) , a High dependency CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) unit and eating disorder services.

Some of your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

  • To be able to plan, deliver, implement and evaluate high standards of holistic and patient focused care as a staff nurse 
  • To complete and maintain risk assessments and management plans ensuring that 
    appropriate risk documentation is completed and available to appropriate individuals 
  • To receive and participate in clinical supervision in accordance with policy 
  • To promote the health and wellbeing of all patients and maintain a safe, caring and therapeutic environment
  • To keep clinical records up to date and in accordance with legislation and the policies
  • To lead and participate in the development and delivery of training within the team and to other professionals and agencies
  • To provide support, guidance, and supervision to junior staff/students

What are the requirements for the role?

  • A qualified nurse, either mental health trained (RMN), learning disabilities (RNLD), or child health trained (RCN) or adult general nurse (RGN)
  • 1 year’s post-registration experience essential
  • Inpatient experience essential
  • CAMHS experience desirable
