Senior Neonatal Staff Nurse (Band 6)
Permanent, Full time
Grade: Band 6
Salary: £41,544 – £50,030 BAR £51,647 – £56,090 per annum
Location: Guernsey
Pulse is working with the Channel Islands largest provider of health care. Our client is looking for a driven and experienced Neonatal Nurse to join their Neonatal Unit.
The successful candidate will aid the medical team, start resuscitation, and attend deliveries. The nurse will have knowledge to treat patients at every stage of illness. Upon completion of training, the post holder must be prepared to participate in air transfers as required and maintain their skills by participating in off-island placements.

Requirements
- Registered Children’s Nurse or RN Child/RGN
- Diploma/Degree in related field
- EMB 405 or equivalent
- NLS provider
- 2+ years neonatal nursing experience is essential
- Leadership/ management training is desirable
- Evidence of child protection training is desirable
Roles and responsibilities
- Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of infant, whilst collaborating with the family to meet infant’s individual needs
- Attend labour ward to assist in resuscitation and stabilization of newborn
- Act as advocate for child and family
- Contribute to recruitment and retention of team members
- Oversee team of staff, making sure effective communication is established and any issues raised are addressed
