Theatre Scrub Nurse & Surgical First Assistant (SFA)

Location: Gatwick, West Sussex

Salary: £25,655 – £34,172 (annual) depending on experience

Role: Full-time – 12-month Fixed Term Contract

 

Pulse Nursing is currently recruiting for a Surgical First Assistant (SFA) to join one the largest private healthcare companies in West Sussex!

The well-renowned hospital has a total of 56 bedroom with majority being ensuites, endoscopy unit, two bedded emergency recovery unit with a 16-bedded day care unit, 3 theatres (two with laminar flow), and two outpatients.

They are looking to fill a full-time role based on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC).

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support in assessing patient’s health and well-being
  • Working across a complex and changing caseload
  • Promoting best practice and contributing towards quality improvements
  • Acting as an SFA across a heavy caseload of general, gynaecology and bariatric surgery
  • Working as a Scrub Practitioner across various specialities

We are looking for you to be:

  • An NMC Registered Nurse, or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner (ODP)
  • Hold a Surgical First Assistant Qualification
  • Willingness to participate in flexible working rota including general scrub duties
