Pulse have recently partnered with a leading healthcare provider. We are currently looking for an experienced Respiratory Physiologist who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership for the service. This post is based in Central London, which is easily accessible via public transport.

About the role:
As a Respiratory Physiologist, you will be working in a clinical and service development capacity to ensure the service to patients is planned, delivered, and evaluated in line with evidence-based practice. Working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to help create and maintain a robust service whilst seamlessly incorporating other centre services.

 Your main responsibilities as a Respiratory Physiologist:

  • Participate in respiratory & cardiac investigations within own skill-base and have working knowledge of all aspects of all services, including administrative duties. This will include performing tests and providing the reports.
  • Act as an independent practitioner without direct supervision.
  • Be aware of ARTP, BTS, SCST and NICE guidelines and to carry out all procedures in accordance with these nationally agreed guidelines and policies of the department and hospital.
  • Maintain expertise in “cardiac resuscitation procedures” in accordance with agreed and established policies.

What we are looking for in a Respiratory Physiologist:

  • BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent
  • ALS (desirable) or ILS
  • RCCP registration (desirable)
  • ARTP or equivalent (desirable)
  • Experience as independent practitioner in respiratory investigations
  • Able to perform a wide range of non-invasive investigations independently.
