Pulse Nursing are looking for charismatic professionals to help assist our wonderful patients in Melton Mowbray. Are you the next Nurse that will make a positive impact to patient’s lives?  

Join a fantastic team of nurses that aim to provide care for patients around Melton Mowbray. As a Registered General Nurse, you will play a vital role for patients by improving health and wellbeing. Collectively, we can focus on improving patient’s care and support they receive during their recovery period.  

We are offering you a variety of shifts with pay rates between £24.98 – £39.03 per hour

Medical Registered General Nurse responsibilities include: 

  • Supporting individuals who require support following and acute illness or injury, active or slow stream rehabilitation or continuing care
  • Working as part of a team within a 50 bedded neuro rehabilitation service provider
  • Providing specialized, high quality, rehabilitation-focused treatments for those living with an acquired brain injury (ABI) or progressive neurological condition (PNC)
  • Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care including completion of documentation
  • Monitoring patients, use of NEWS2, record and report symptoms or changes in their conditions and escalate deterioration when appropriate.
  • Respond to emergencies
  • Undertaking and re-evaluating risk assessment
  • Regularly update and communicate with the nurse in charge.
  • Management of invasive lines
  • Administration of medications via the appropriate route as per prescription.
  • Ensure appropriate nutritional intake via the appropriate route
  • Communicate and liaise with the Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) and other agencies including completion of referrals
  • Communication with patients, families, and significant others
  • Discharge planning
  • Supervision of junior and non-qualified staff
  • Work within your scope of practice and follow the NMC code of professional conduct

Registered General Nurse Role Requirements: 

  • NMC Registration with 6 months post registration experience.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience post qualification as a Registered General Nurse in one of the following clinical areas:
  • Working with patients who have suffered traumatic and non- traumatic brain injuries:
  • Aneurysm or stroke
  • Anoxia (lack of oxygen to the brain e.g. as a result of drowning, heart attack, asthma attack)
  • Brain tumors (benign, malignant)
  • Brain infections (e.g. meningitis, encephalitis)
  • Poisoning (e.g. alcohol, non-prescription, prescription and illicit drugs)
  •  
  • Be able to meet our framework compliance requirements including DBS, Occupational Health, Clinical References and Updated CV
  • Right to work within the UK – Proof will be required
