Paediatric Intensive care nurse (PICU)
Location: Central London, UK
Salary: £32,466 – £39,520.80 per annum + exceptional benefits 
Role: Full time (37.5hrs pw) but part time hours will be considered (shifts: Long days, Nights & Weekends) 

Pulse is delighted to be working alongside one of London’s private hospitals that specialises within women and children such as maternity and gynaecology and services for children. 

As a Staff Nurse in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, you will be required to provide a high standard of holistic family centred care to the children and families. Ability to promote family centred care and establish good relationships with children and their families and to communicate effectively at all levels within the multi-disciplinary team.   

This PICU ward has 10 beds that provide level 3 intensive care.  Caring for children with brain, spinal and heart conditions as well as providing multi organ support, also provides kidney, heart and respiratory replacement technology.

The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where excellence in patient care is the paramount goal.

What requirements are needed to be successful in the job role?

  • NMC Child Registered Nurse 
  • Post grad nursing experience in PICU or paediatric High Dependency Unit 
  • Great communication skills 
  • Ability to work closely as part of a multi-disciplinary team 
  • Care, compassion, and empathy
