Midwife (Band 6)

Permanent, Full time

Grade: Band 6

Salary: £41,544 – £50,030 BAR £51,647 – £56,090 per annum

Location: Guernsey

Pulse is recruiting a Band 6 Midwife for a leading hospital in Guernsey.

The successful candidate will be working within a consultant led team and provide care to women and their families both in the hospital and community settings.

The post holder will make sure timely records are kept of all care, information and advice given, as well as visits made and each women’s development.

Skills and experience:

  • NMC Registered Nurse
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload, often under pressure.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and alone without direct supervision within your level of experience.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Promote and deliver the best qualify of midwifery care as the woman’s advocate
  • Create adaptable, high quality individual models of care
  • Write reports, note observations and keep care plans, including electronic data storage
  • Monitor patient’s health, evaluate findings and report anything out of the ordinary
  • Keep patient and family informed
  • Attender pertinent multiagency meetings, cultivate and uphold close working relations with other healthcare experts and practices about safeguarding
