Description

Pulse International are working on behalf of a leading NHS Trust in the North of England to recruit a cohort of 20 x International Sonographers who are looking to relocate to the UK to join an established team.

The role requires someone who has the following experience, qualifications and characteristics:

  • UK HCPC registration
  • Must be CASE accredited in General Medical and Obstetric Ultrasound 
  • Degree qualification in Radiography (or equivalent)
  • Post Grad Certificate or Diploma in medical ultrasound, gynae, obstetrics and abdominal ultrasound
  • Experience scanning Abdominal, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Small parts, DVT, Carotid and vascular scans on both inpatient and outpatients (please highlight if you have some, not all, of this list)
  • Experience participating in clinical audit work
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to work and inspire a team. Able to create a team ethos and demonstrate motivational skills
  • Excellent communication. Ability to pass on knowledge to others in a clear and concise way
  • Competently undertake and prioritise a complex clinical workload
  • The ability to interpret scans and make an appropriate diagnosis from a range of multiple possibilities
  • Ability to teach student sonographers, medical and other healthcare professionals
  • Empathic and able to deal sensitively with patients from all cultural backgrounds
  • Able to deal with frequent distressing clinical situations

    • An updated CV
    • A copy of your Passport
    • CASE accreditation in General Medical and Obstetric Ultrasound Certificate
    • Degree qualification in Radiography Certificate
    • Post Grad Certificate or Diploma in medical ultrasound, gynae, obstetrics and abdominal ultrasound
  • You must have experience scanning Abdominal, gynaecology, Obstetrics, Small parts, DVT, Carotid and vascular scans on both inpatient and outpatients (please highlight what experience you do/don’t have in your application)
