Description

 

As an ENP ( Emergency Nurse Practitioner)   you will be an integral part of our Emergency Department team, providing urgent and critical care to patients experiencing various medical emergencies. Your quick decision-making skills, ability to handle high-pressure situations, and compassionate approach will ensure that patients receive timely and efficient care during their most vulnerable moments.

Pulse Nursing are offering a number of shift patterns and flexible shifts across day and night hours in friendly and welcoming teams around the Cornwall Area.

Rates for the A&E Nurse are between £43.50

 

Roles of an ENP

 

ENPs assess, diagnose, treat and discharge patients, often in the ‘Minors’ area of the department. They work within guidelines agreed with the clinical lead of an emergency department. The role might involve:

  • Patient assessment, including pain assessment and management
  • Diagnosing problems such as sprains, strains, cuts and bites, giving medication (orally or via injection), and treating minor injuries including burns and wounds
  • Reading and assessing X-rays
  • Administering some medications, including antibiotics
  • Recording ECG examinations
  • Discharging patients when appropriate

 

ENP Role requirements

  • NMC registration
  • Recent 6 months experience in the last 12 months
  • Evidence of completion of v300 prescribing certificate/ have to be MIU trained. 
  • Full EPP clearance of immunisations
  • 2 clinical references to provide your ENP skills
