Pulse Nursing have a perfect opportunity for Endoscopy nurses based in Stafford. With rates from £22.88 – 26.21 per hour. Accessible by train but also have free parking on site. With weekend work available as well and weekday too! This

An endoscopy nurse plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.

Role:

  • Evaluate the patient’s physical and psychological status to determine their readiness for the procedure.
  • Provide patients with detailed information about the endoscopic procedure, its purpose, and what to expect.
  • Explain pre-procedure preparation instructions, dietary restrictions, and medication guidelines.
  • Address patient questions and concerns to alleviate anxiety and ensure informed consent.
  • Prepare the patient for the procedure by ensuring they are appropriately dressed and comfortable.
  • Administer any necessary pre-procedure medications as prescribed by the physician.
  • Monitor the patient’s vital signs, level of consciousness, and oxygen saturation throughout the procedure.
  • Provide post-procedure instructions, including dietary restrictions and activity limitations.

Requirements:

  • NMC pin with a minimum of 6months recent experience
  • Right to work in the UK – Proof required
  • To meet framework compliance requirements including DBS, Occupational health
  • Clinical References and an Update CV with 10 year experience including education and gaps.
