Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist specializing in General Adult Psychiatry for an Inpatient position in Durham. The successful candidate will join a dynamic healthcare team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality mental health services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for adult patients within the inpatient setting.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide expert psychiatric consultation to colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in ward rounds, case conferences, and clinical meetings to ensure effective communication and collaborative care.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical services through participation in audit, research, and service development.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Specialist registration in General Adult Psychiatry.
- CCT or equivalent in General Adult Psychiatry.
- Proven experience working as a Consultant Psychiatrist in an inpatient setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
