This is a full time permanent position and the successful candidate will play a crucial role in the delivery of high quality care to our patients.

As a Consultant in Emergency Medicine, your primary responsibilities will involve delivering expert clinical care to patients with a focus on ensuring the highest standards of medical attention. Leading and actively participating in the multidisciplinary team, the role encompasses collaborative efforts to guarantee comprehensive and effective patient care. Additionally, contributing to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols is a vital aspect, emphasizing a commitment to the continuous improvement of healthcare practices.

As part of fostering a supportive work environment, the Consultant in Emergency Medicine is tasked with mentoring and supporting junior medical staff, facilitating their growth and proficiency. Furthermore, the role requires a proactive engagement in continuous professional development and training, ensuring the individual stays abreast of the latest advancements and maintains a high level of expertise in emergency care.

Requirements:

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • MRCEM and FRCEM qualifications are essential.
  • CCT in Emergency Medicine or be within 6 months of obtaining it at the time of application.
  • Substantial experience in Emergency Medicine, preferably within the NHS.
