Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to adult patients.
  • Lead and supervise multidisciplinary teams, including junior doctors, nurses, and support staff.
  • Develop and implement innovative treatment plans tailored to meet the individual needs of each patient.
  • Offer specialist advice and consultation to colleagues and external stakeholders as required.
  • Participate in clinical governance activities, including audits, reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, protocols, and clinical guidelines.
  • Keep abreast of developments in the field of psychiatry and ensure the application of best practices in clinical care.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Accreditation as a Consultant Psychiatrist and inclusion on the Specialist Register for Psychiatry.
  • Substantial experience working as a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry, with a demonstrable track record of excellence in clinical practice.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a commitment to collaborative working.
  • A passion for delivering patient-centered care and improving mental health outcomes.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.
