Exciting Opportunity for Locum Consultant Diagnostic Neuroradiologists!

Join our friendly and forward-thinking team of Neuroradiologists and contribute to the activity of our busy department at one of the largest teaching hospitals in the country. We are currently seeking two dedicated individuals to fill Locum Consultant Diagnostic Neuroradiology roles, based in Southampton.

Our department offers a wide range of skills and interests, providing a high-quality consultant-led diagnostic neuroradiology imaging service. As a Locum Consultant Diagnostic Neuroradiologist, you will have the opportunity to develop subspecialty areas of interest and progress your career in research, education, and radiological innovation.

Contribute to the provision of high-quality diagnostic neuroradiology imaging services by actively participating in the 24/7 cover of the service, which includes being on-call on a rotational basis. Develop specialized skills necessary to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and provide support to regional tertiary services. Additionally, offer clinical supervision to radiology trainees to facilitate their professional growth and development. Recognize that certain duties may be fulfilled through offsite working arrangements, ensuring flexibility and efficiency in service delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated colleagues with the following training, experience, and abilities:

  • GMC registration
  • Completed general training in Radiology and Diagnostic Neuroradiology at specialist level in a recognized centre.
  • Experience and skills in a subspecialist area of neuroradiology, with a willingness to further develop these aspects.
  • Ability to work within multidisciplinary healthcare teams and supervise junior staff.
  • Enthusiasm for teaching and training.
  • Understanding of and willingness to participate in clinical governance and audit activities.
  • Leadership, organizational, communication, professional, and personal abilities to be effective in the role of a consultant diagnostic Neuroradiologist.
