Chemotherapy Nurse
Location: Edinburgh, UK
Salary: £25,655 – £34,172 (annual) depending on experience
Role: Permanent, Full-Time and/or Part-time positions
Pulse Nursing are looking to recruit an experienced Chemotherapy Nurse join a leading private and independent hospital in Edinburgh!
The remarkable hospital has 32 private rooms each with en-suite facilities, two laminar flow operating theatres, a minor 25 inpatient beds, 17 day-case beds, 3 operating theatres, a physiotherapy treatment area, outpatients and diagnostic facilities. They focus on a wide range of cancers including breast, bowel, skin, lung and prostate. They work closely with many cancer treatment partners and are accredited with Macmillan Cancer Support.
They are looking for both permanent full-time and/or part-time positions to be filled!

Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ health and wellbeing across a complex and changing caseload
- Assist in the delivery of care to meet individuals’ health and wellbeing needs throughout the cancer treatment pathway
- Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information related to cancer patient care
- Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others in management of SACT
- Promote best practice in health, safety and security
- Assist in maintaining and developing cancer services
Requirements:
- Be NMC registered
- Essential previous recent experience and relevant qualifications in cancer and chemotherapy are essential
- Qualified in venepuncture and cannulation and the use of CVAD’s with evidence of regular competency assessment
- Working towards a post registration qualification in a clinical cancer specialism (desirable, not essential)
