Chemotherapy Nurse

Location: Reading, UK

Salary: £25,655 – £34,172 (annual) depending on experience

Role: Permanent, Full-Time and Part-time positions

 

Pulse Nursing are looking to recruit an experienced Chemotherapy Nurse to join a leading private and independent hospital in Reading!

The remarkable hospital has 32 private rooms each with en-suite facilities, two laminar flow operating theatres, a minor procedure room, a pain management suite, an oncology unit, an endoscopy room and more! Their cancer treatment centre focuses on cancers including breast, and bowel. They offer patients a 24-hour emergency hospital contact number for those undergoing chemotherapy and have other cancer specific nurses based at nearby hospitals.

They are looking for both permanent full-time and part-time positions to be filled!

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients’ health and wellbeing across a complex and changing caseload
  • Assist in the delivery of care to meet individuals’ health and wellbeing needs throughout the cancer treatment pathway
  • Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information related to cancer patient care
  • Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others in management of SACT
  • Promote best practice in health, safety and security
  • Assist in maintaining and developing cancer services

Requirements:

  • Be NMC registered
  • Essential previous recent experience and relevant qualifications in cancer and chemotherapy are essential
  • Completed Chemotherapy training
